Pumpkin Brûlée Latte

If you’re looking for your new fall latte, this is it. You’ll need a kitchen torch for this, but trust me when I say it’s worth the $20. And it’s a really cool party favor when your friends are over for brunch.

Be careful when using the torch, and never touch the melted sugar until it has cooled.

  • 2 shots espresso

Instructions

  1. Add pumpkin syrup to cup, then brew espresso.

  2. Froth milk to make a thick foam, then add to cup trying to keep an even layer on top.

  3. Sprinkle turbinado sugar evenly across top of foam.

  4. Using a kitchen torch on medium flame, melt the sugar until it starts to bubble and darken. Be careful not to burn the sugar.

  5. Let cool for 2 minutes, you can break the brulee top as you’re drinking.

Quick Hit

Yes, you need a kitchen torch, but I have a feeling some of you might already have one. If you don’t, hop on amazon and buy a cheap one. If you have a hard time finding butane, just go to your local head shop, they definitely have it.
